Beat Junkies at NAMM 2012

Rhettmatic, J. Rocc, Babu, Mr. Choc, Shortkut, and Melo-D perform a live, freestyle set demonstrating a mixer I'll never own unless it falls of a truck and onto my lap. As dope as that mixer is, it's kind of hard justifying paying that kind of money for a mixer with a baby girl that's going to need somebody to pay for college some day. On a unrelated related side note, you can read some people making some pretty critical comments on the youtube page. Clearly, some people don't understand the concept of a "freestyle" set.

  2. Looks like they disabled the YouTube comments. Hmm, now I'm curious. What were people saying?

  3. I read some of the comments, before they were disabled. From what I can gather, it seemed viewers weren't impressed with the set the BJs did, but my criticism is not with the set, but the fact that they were given a vastly over engineered mixer to do a set which could have been done on a normal 2 channel mixer. Or did I miss something? Remember, its not the tool that makes you good, its how you use it.

  4. @Jimmy... that's what I was thinking. And t's no disrespect to Rhett (he doesn't need fancy mixers to wreck shop). But let's see some of those crazy features in action!!
