This is what I'm trying to emulate when I make a mix. That transition to Biggie's "Warning" will keep me going for a while (around the 3 minute mark). There's a special place in musical heaven for guys like Questlove.
No Doubt I seen bits of the rebroadcast after I fell asleep on the end of the football game!!I did see this part and the Roots turned it out! I don't car much for Mos Def anymore and wished he weren't honoring anything he a straight sucker!!!PE never ceases to amaze me Chuck sounds the same as he did in the 80's and no one gives him credit for it!!But yer the Roots but in particular the band feat Questlove aint no joke 4 real!!!I think that may have helped a host of folks get on board to the crate diggin element of hip hop in checking out the original music to our baddest hip hop tracks!! Crate Diggin has arrived!!!
If I was King of the World, I would have a The Roots play a hip hop medley at my funeral. For me, there is nothing sweeter on the ears than one of those medleys.
