One week from today will mark the 3rd anniversary of J. Dilla's passing. I thought this would be an appropriate time to blow the dust off some of my favorite Dilla mixes. Assorted Donuts along with J. Rocc's Act III are my favorite Dilla mixes. DJ Soul mixes together an assortment of instrumentals from the Donuts album with the acapellas from MC's like Biggie, Kweli, Big L etc... Watch the below video for a taste if you've never heard the mix before. If you have heard the mix before, listen to it again because the concept was so f*cking brilliant that it pisses me off that I didn't think of it first.
