but i think there are plugins that handle some of these tasks better than ableton, imo.
but as a single program... it's definitely the best combination of easy and full-featured. Only Logic competes, and logic isn't nearly as user-friendly. maybe Fruity Loops in a distant 3rd.

oh yeah... and there's Reason. but it doesn't do audio, right?
