Here Ya Go: Pipo's Record Collection and Studio Pics

A couple of weeks ago a few of you requested that I post some pics of my record collection and home "studio." My wife and I live in a two bedroom condo where the second bedroom is primarily used for my music. Originally, the second bedroom was called The Cave because I was the only one making use of this space. Below are some old pics of The Cave that capture most of my record collection at the time (circa 2005)

A couple of years ago, three things happened that changed the original "Cave" setup. First, my propensity to buy records was driving me broke and sucking up the little space we had in our 1000 sq. foot condo. Second, I bought Torq and figured that I could cut my record collection in half (because it mostly consisted of doubles) by digitizing my vinyl and storing my doubles at my parents' house. Third (and most importantly), my wife got hip to the game and began wondering out-loud why she didn't have her own "Cave." In the interest of making a happy home, I halved my record collection and did some remodeling to make the second bedroom a little more wife friendly. Below are some pics of what is now called The Studio.

Below, is one last pic of what the Studio will look like if Pipo doesn't figure out how to get into a home with a third bedroom within the next year or two.

that's what happened to my "cave"...now my cave is the "dungeon", a room I built in the basement of my house for my records and 1200's...good luck!

Your blog site has become my most frequented URL after discovering it! Keep up the good work...

lol I figured that a few of you would feel my pain about the "cave" to "studio" transition.

dfabx,

No child on the way yet, but the pressure is mounting. Not necessarily from my wife, but from all our a-hole friends who are having babies and want us to share in their misery
