RE-POST - Sorry for the dud link yesterday.Many of you enjoyed part II the other day, so I thought you'd all enjoy Part I. Below is Bowls' description of the mix.
Bowls in the mix with a selection of J Dilla's rock samples. This one's around 37 minutes long, but its not one of those jam-packed break extravaganzas. I decided to let a few of the songs breathe, due in large part to J Dilla's ear for samples. His patience in listening all the way through a 10-minute psych freak-out, only to grab four seconds at the 6:14 mark, is almost mind-numbing. Oh and in case you forgot...these are all original wax pressings. The only way to go!

Nice tasteful slow pace mix of a lot of funky soul jams. LoK's description of the mix below.Got to love it when a "blank" CD fell out of a pile of stuff and it turned out to be an old Soul/Rare Groove set of mine from god knows when! Definately pre-serato so all from vinyl, a couple of re-issues - i'm not gonna front, there is some expensive records in there alongside some "cheap but goodies"! For instance first track i have a real one and that still goes for about £100 if you can find it!
