Scratch Documentary

I assume that all of you on this blog have seen this documentary more times than Leave it to Beaver re-runs. I just finished watching this classic turntablism documentary for the first time in almost 10 years. I remember watching this documentary on loop back 2002. I bought this DVD at the same time that I moved out of my parents house and into a 1 bedroom L.A. apartment with my then girlfriend. I lasted a whole 3 days with my then girlfriend before I got booted from the apartment. I then moved into my own apartment with nothing more than my turntables, computer, 18" tube t.v., a beanbag, a PS2, and this DVD. Because I had no cable at the time, my only source of entertainment was watching my beloved Scratch DVD over and over again. Needless to say, the documentary holds a special place in my heart for more reasons than one. If it were all up to me, I'd love to see a version of the film with less focus on ISP and communicating with aliens, and more footage devoted to the X-Men and Beat Junkies. Either way, the film really takes me down memory lane. In case any of you are wondering what happened to that ruthless maneater who booted me after just 3 days in the crib, we are celebrating 8 years married today. Go figure?
