Wow, I received several last minute submissions for mix of the year. This mix is certainly the cream of that crop. I don't know how to describe the mix other than by saying it's a seamlessly mixed array of reworked, redited funk and soul classics. Highly Recommended.
As one of the residents of Ali B's legendary Funk & Soul weekly Saturday sessions at The Paradise (www.theparadise.co.uk) in West London, I wanted to put a mix together that represents the sound of early night to prime time. In the tradition of Ali's great 'Oh Shit!' mix series, this mix gives you a taste of the packed dancefloor that goes off every week. Hope you dig it.

Glad you enjoyed my recommendation Pipo..Part 2 is a bit better in my opinion. Merry Christmas to my fellow mix junkies.
I love the continuity in this mix so much, those underlying drum loops really tie the room together... will def be checking out part 2!
