Demolition Pumpkin Sqeeze Musik - Mixed by Q-bert
Q-bert certainly impacted deejay culture like few others have. However, his style has never really been my cup of tea. As a result, I've never really checked any of his mixes. Out of pure curiosity I gave this mix a listen and was completely blown away. Essentially, this is a classic break mix put together with the technical wizardry that only Q-bert can provide. Enjoy.

I've been enjoying/studying this mix for years, one of the greatest of all time. Definitely highly influential to say the least... there's an interview with him on the Super B-Beat Show talking about this tape (shout out to Mane One!), def worth checking out:

Influential is an understatement. I actually think that Q bert got a lot more love internationally than he did in the states this mixtape was massive in europe. One of the best breaks mixes of all time
Damn Pipo, 20 years late on this one, lol.. We'll give you a pass this time
wow, don't tell me you passed on Mr. Dibbs - Turntable Scientifics as well?
this brings me back - one of the most classic mixtapes ever - there's some crazy q-bert cover art too that's different on the actual cassette. i wore this tape out back in the late 90s. and just to get extra-nerdy, i bought it from P-Minus who ran the underground mail-order website, ATAK Distribution, if anyone remembers that site. classic era.
Good stuff.... I remember this one. but my cassette had different artwork. Thanks Pipo! Good is never too late.

Bought this from Q himself at a DMC event with him and MM Mike back in 94 or so. They don't come any more classic than this, probably the greatest classic break mix of all time - and Rush notwithstanding, probably the best showcase for the Ultimate Breaks & Beats series ever recorded.
I can understand Pipo's reservations about Q-Bert if all he's been exposed to is the endless succession of practice tapes and battle sessions, but this was something else. The true evolution of break mixing, from the Wild Style sequence of Flash cutting up Headhunters and Mardi Gras in his kitchen, taken to its highest artistic level.
