A glimpse into Klaus Layer's home studio. Anybody know what program he's recording into?

I think the DAW he is using is PreSonus Studio One, which is a bit obscure, but the DAW really doesn't matter so much when you're using an MPC.

From the 2000 XL, you have the option of outputting combined L/R audio, MIDI, or individual tracks. Ideally, you would output each track individually into the DAW, so that you could master each track separately (which requires a board with 8 audio inputs). There's nothing wrong with MPCs, but the workflow is inefficient. For the same price as an MPC, you could get Maschine or Ableton Push, which give you a seamless workflow and features way beyond an MPC.
