Dillatronic Megamix - Mixed by J. Rocc
J. Rocc originally aired this mix on his Adventures in Stereo radio show, but was unable to upload the mix to soundcloud (because his account was taken down) or mixcloud (because of their policy about playing too many songs of the same artist). Here you go. Highly Recommended.

Beat Junkies Record Pool Promo Mix - Mixed by DJ Dynamix
DJ Dynamix masterfully mixes together an array of edits and exclusives that can be found on the Beat Junkies Record Pool. Some parts of the mix are a little too up-tempo for my taste, but I'd take that with a grain of salt. Remember, I'm slowly morphing into a cranky old man who prefers his music in the 80-89 bpm range.
3x Red Bull Thre3style LA Champion & VH1's Master Of The Mix Season 3 Finalist, Dj Dynamix does a special promo mix using selected songs from our Beat Junkie Record Pool catalogue. If you are a DJ and you like the selections you heard from this mix, please check outwww.beatjunkies.com.

DJ Revolution & King Tech at Namm 2016
Nice little history lesson with DJ Revolution going over the progressing of different scratch techniques.
Invisibl Scratch Piklz at NAMM 2016
Q-Bert, D-Styles, and Shorkut demoing the new Pioneer turntables. God forbid one of my Technics TTs craps out on me (which is not beyond the realm of possibilities given how much my 4-year-old plays on them), I think I'd go with these Pioneer TTs to replace them. Anybody using them? Thoughts, recommendations for other TTs? I haven't been in the market for over 20 years.
Beat Junkies at NAMM 2016
Rhettmatic, Melo-D, Babu, and Mr. Choc performing with some Pioneer mixer I'll never be able to afford or have the use for 90% of its functions. Hey, at least it keeps our favorite DJs paid.
Rinse FM Podcast (12/29/15) - Mixed by Gaslamp Killer
Like most GLK mixes, it's on the "out there" side of things.
O.G. Style (1994) - Mixed by DJ Rectangle
I'm always surprised by how DJ Rectangle is never mentioned among the pantheon of mixtape deejays. East coast bias? Highly Recommended.
Mobb Deep "The Infamous" Documentary
Documentary on the making of Mobb Deep's classic album "The Infamous". Also talks about the genesis of one of Hip-Hop's greatest groups. Featuring, co-written and co-produced by Wes Jackson.
Pullin from the Stacks Episode 31 - DJ Ian Head
Every episode of Pullin from the Stacks is a must listen. Personally, I use each of these episodes as training tools to orient my 4 year-old DJ in training.
Got a lot of interesting digging in over the holidays, here's some more selections I've grabbed mostly in the past few weeks. This includes a record or two sitting in storage for several years I recently uncovered. Tracklisting: Liz Vice, Sugarcane Harris, Malcolm X College Afro-American Jazz Ensemble, Cal Tjader, Pleasure, Harvey Averne Barrio Band, Joao Donato, Larry Willis
Article: Why You Should Definitely Buy Your Music on Wax, Why Reunions Are Important, and Why Making Fun of Urban Outfitters' Vinyl Selection Makes You Sound Like an Asshole
A good read by what seems to be a relatively young (I'm guessing late 20s) record store owner. I agree with just about everything said in this article. Basically, it's a much broader argument in favor of the point of view that I've expressed several times on this blog in regards to the Dilla phenomenon (though annoying at times, just think about all the great music younger folk will be introduced to through Dilla fandom). Bottom line: Never stop learning. There's a lot of older music that we all missed that needs to be discovered and enjoyed, as well as quality new music that should be appreciated. Those who say there's no new quality music are simply not looking. You can read the article HERE.
Sextape 2 - Drixxxe
This pretty much encapsulates my adolescence, music and porn. I remember on more than one occasion hearing rap songs that straight beat-jacked music I knew very well to be previously associated with more "sensual" scenes in cinematic history. Of course, I never said anything to anyone because I didn't want to be embarrassed. Just like all of our dads only read Playboy for the "articles," my generation watched porn for the "musical experience." Part 3 can be found here.
Abstrakt Cratery - Mixed by Lord Finesse
I literally say this every time I post a Lord Finesse mix, but I'll say it again; I don't understand why I ALWAYS overlook this guy as a top echelon deejay. All of his mixes (which I think 99% of are recorded live) are Highly Recommended status.

Diggin' in the Crates: D.R.U.G.S.
Street Corner Music's D.R.U.G.S. goes through his record collection as well as flipping a few samples. Parts 2&3 after the jump.
J. Rocc's Adventures in Stereo #41 (2015 Year End Mix #2&3)
Two, that's right, TWO mixes for the price of none from the Funky President. The first mix (begins around the 10 min. mark) is more of an uptempo, go-go type mix (the kind some of you will complain about). The second mix (technically the third mix) is much more suited for followers of this blog (begins around the 70 minute mark). Highly Recommended. Mix #1 (which aired on 12/27) can be found on the KPFK archive.
J. Rocc's Adventures in Stereo: Feat. The Egyptian Lover
Two hours of J. Rocc and The Egyptian Lover on the cut (including The Egyptian Lover getting down on the 808 and J. Rocc's insane Egyptian Lover mix). This is an absolutely incredible two hours of radio. Highly Recommended.
Duel of the Iron Mic - Mixed by Steve1der and Cutso
First mix in a minute from Steve1der. Here, the DJ that brought you Nate in 08 does an excellent job of breaking down and dissecting Gza's classic, Liquid Swords. Highly Recommended.
Listen/Stream/Download
A mix tribute to the 20th anniversary of the release of The GZA's Liquid Swords and Raekwon's Only Built For Cuban Linx. Mixed by Steve1der & Cutso. This is part 2 of 2.
