I have no inside information, but I am very skeptical of this article. Given that this is the Soundcloud blog of record, I feel obligated to post the article (skepticism and all). It just doesn't make sense to me that Soundcloud would go to all the trouble of inking licensing deals with all the majors only to turn into another Spotify (an inferior one at that). Call me a conspiracy theorist, but my money is on a Soundcloud rival spreading this rumor. Article can be read HERE.
