Unlike most Aretha tributes you'll hear in the next few days, this tribute was not rushed together because it was done almost 10 years ago.
There was a time when I believe I owned at least 2 copies of almost every Aretha Franklin album. Her voice is like no other. I'm kind of at a loss for words. May she Rest in Power. I made this mix almost 10 years ago, in late 2009 as part of my Monthly Mixtape series, thought I'd re-up today.
