hey brother, just wanted to say thanks for all the goodies...if you don't mind too terribly, i would like to make a few suggestions for future posts (if they are not already posted up....but i couldn't find them on the blog so...)...that would be Roc Raida "crossfaders" mixtape, DJ Krush "Meiso", and (i'm sure you know which one i'm talking about although i can't remember the title)...it's a mista sinista mixtape from like 2000...has beatnuts "no escapin this" all chopped up nice...hitek and kweli "blast"...all chopped up to perfection by the former xecutioner...remember that mixtape...it was sold in stores...can't remember what it's called for the life of me....also a good one when it came out back in the day was dj enuff...heavy hitters(hittas...whatever) vol. 1....had a nice blend of hiphop & rnb.....ok thanks brother...love this blog...best of it's kind...keep it up...PLEASE!

I like to think you are on the right course already. No direspect but DJ Envy and that particular mixtape squad is doing this school music which to me you can get anywhere on the web!! I kind of enjoy the breaks, samples and cuts that bring back that 1's and 2's sound like most of what's posted!!

Any way back to the subject which was Jazzy Jeff it's ironic that you post this joint now this is about the 3rd site I have seen it on respectfully and I have commented on all so I will do the same here! Matter of fact didn't you post this before? Maybe I'm getting sites mixed up!! Nah I know you post a hell of a lot of stuff on the guy that's why!! That being my fellow Philly native!!This one I never knew existed and it's hot!! Jazzy has over the years illustrated why he is one of the best DJ's on the circuit then and now!! He knows his sh** nuff said!!

yes man you are kind of correct in that most of the heavy hitter squad is generic....but i guess you didn't have the opportunity to live in nyc back in the day when enuff had the 'midnight run' on hot 97...if you were ever blunted on a sat night and caught his show...maybe you'd have more of an appreciation..by the way, i'm a south philly native myself...south 15th kid...born in the city of brotherly love...and i was in no way shape or form trying to imply that my man Pipomixes is not doing something nice here...it's fucking awesome!!!! i love it and appreciate everything he does immensely....i thought i made that perfectly clear in the first comment...it's just that my man seems to have a plethora of mixes that i no longer have access to...and Meiso, i know can be bought anywhere, as well as Crossfaders, but i guess i'm depending on my man Pipomixes like some people depend on the 1st and 15th...anyway, to my fellow Illadelph representative, Peace and One love kid

That's what's up yo!! That's why I said no dis Matt!! i get around these blogs a bit and was just suprised with the type of mixes Pipo been puttin on that a request for those mainstream mixtape cats would even pop up here!! I feel you on that though they were some nice joints!! Hope you don't mind Pipo but I just wanna plug Matt in to Recognize the real another blog that features those and then some maybe that can be of some use to you!!I don't usually give out other sites as to me it's a dis to the site I'm on but Pipo's link is on a couple special sites that's how I got here!!Peace

Plug away. The whole point of the site is to keep the mixtape (and Hip Hop) culture alive.

Spread the love
