I remembering listening to this exact show when it originally aired. This particular show has The Fanstastik 4our debuting Nas' Either and Jay-Z's Super Ugly.
I agree. It seems like people complain just to complain, whatever the subject. I think there's always been good Hip-Hop, no matter the year. You just had to know where to look to find it. Knowing made it even sweeter when you found it because you knew you found something not many were up on.
Unfortunately I never got a chance to hear FNF since Power 106 was spotting at best where I was living at the time (near CSU-San Bernardino) but I used to catch Divine Forces Radio on KPFK every Friday night. DJ Icy Ice & DJ Orator used to drop some serious underground joints on a regular.

ah, sweet memories
Yup. Crazy how good all that late 90s early 2000s underground hip hop still sounds
Late 90s and early 2000s hip hop wasn't nearly as bad as people like to complain.

I started listening to Divine Forces radio when FNF got cancelled, but then DFR went off the air soon thereafter
I think J.Rocc has a big stash of FNF broadcasts.
