Gaslamp Killer and Just Blaze: Live 2x4 Set (kind of) at SXSW

Let me first say that this is a very high quality 2x4 set from Gaslamp Killer and Just Blaze. Then, let me say that I'm a fan of Just Blaze's production. With that said, why does Just Blaze use CDJs? I'll admit, he's kind of nice on them thangs. But, why does a dude who has a massive vinyl collection and is knee deep in vinyl culture, use CDJs as his preferred instrument? Look, I'm not a CDJ hater per say. Or at least, I'm not as big of a hater as I was in the late 90's. Fortunately for CDJs worldwide, the disgrace of the ever growing computer deejay has catapulted the CDJ to a level of respectability never before seen. So, I'm not hatin' for the sake of hating. I'm more like wondering. Why buy all those records and spin CDs? Why not then immerse yourself into CDs and get featured in Disc Diggers instead of Crate Diggers?

Why is Gaslamp Killer such a try-hard? Guy is always bouncing around like a ridiculous lunatic performer on drugs when he's 'DJ'ing'

Tryhard is a good way of putting. I just think that's his personality, though it wouldn't shock me hear drugs are involved.
