Crate Diggers: Tim Westwood

Apparently, somebody is listening to my prayers. Fuse is now posting a new Crate Diggers every Wednesday instead of every other Wednesday.

Veteran English DJ Tim Westwood has had a storied career with vinyl, from his early days in the London club scene to his time spent spinning tunes on BBC Radio 1. Clearly, he's a perfect candidate for Fuse's Crate Diggers.

"I just loved nightclubs," he says, surrounded by his massive vinyl stash. "I just loved the whole experience. It defined who I was."

Westwood recalls time spent in the early days in questionable neighborhoods, spinning among pimps and prostitutes. "It was the most fun I've ever had in my life," he says. "I used to earn 15 pounds a night, have my records in cardboard boxes, coming home late at night." For this and more, check out the all-new episode above.
