DJ Spinbad - Jam Master Jay (Run DMC) Tribute Mix (2002)

R.I.P. JMJ.  I'll always remember seeing JMJ walking alone in the middle of the night down Hollywood Blvd.  I ran up to him like a little school girl to give him a big hug.  Man was super gracious and friendly.  To me, JMJ will always be my first DJ hero.

Another related JMJ memory.  I went to a The Roots midnight Halloween show at H.O.B. on Sunset Blvd. in 2002 (just hours after JMJ's death was reported).  The Roots went into an impromptu 20-minute JMJ dedication medley that might be the most impressive thing I've ever seen in-person.
