While talking about Donuts, he goes into some of the more intimate details surrounding J Dilla’s death, sudden press interest after Dilla’s passing, and Ma Dukes’ current financial situation. The stuff about Dilla's estate will blow you away.

Gotta give it up to the people at Stones Throw Records, they've been able to find their niche in the hip hop market. They continue to release quality music while maintaining a loyal fan base that supports the label's artist so their bills get paid. If there were 5 or 6 more Stones Throw type labels out there we all wouldn't have to bitch so much about the state of hip hop.

When Dilla first passed I refrained from doing a tribute mix because I felt that it was a little like bringing sand to the beach (though I thoroughly enjoyed many of the tribute mixes that circulated the web). Now that 2 years have passed, and over 2 albums worth of new material has been released (or re-released in some cases), I felt I could bring something new to the Dilla tribute mix collection. Expect the usual BlendingNations signature sound of quick mixing and blends upon blends. Take a moment and remember a talented man who died too early. Enjoy...
