Unreleased 45 Mix - DJ Skeme Richards

Some good videos to post later.  Listen to this well paced breaks mix in the meantime.

DJ Skeme Richards of hotpeasandbutta.com shared this with me and allowed me to release it.
It was originally made to promote a company that was doing a line of 45 boxes for 7" vinyl but that never happened so now we get to hear it.

Looks like somebody doesn't want anybody listening to their mix. I hate when deejays put up huddles in order to hear a mix.

Deejays need to understand they are not doing us a favor by allowing us to listen their mix we, the listener, are doing them a favor by choosing to spend own time listening to their mix.

I've never seen that before.

I agree that is the reality of our times in the information age, but I don't necessarily agree with that mentality. Actually, it depends on which deejays you're referring to. A no name deejay such as myself? Yes, the listener is doing me a favor to give it a listen. But after a few minutes, the listener is continuing to listen because they enjoy the mix. At that point, the relationship is reciprocal and nobody is doing anybody a favor anymore.

If it's a known deejay, the listener isn't doing that deejay any favors. In fact, it's the deejay who's doing the favor of allowing the listener to enjoy the mix free of charge.
