Soul Therapy Mixes By House Shoes and C-Minus
Two outstanding soul/funk mixes from the monthly Soul Therapy party. House Shoes' mix is above, and C-Minus' mix is below.
House Shoes' Magic (11/28/19) with C-Minus
The first half consists of House Shoes seamlessly blending choice cuts from his impeccable ear. The second half consists of C-Minus on the 1's and 2's mixing together an outstanding Ras G tribute of sorts. Highly Recommended.

I remember always looking forward to C-Minus' sets back in the days of the Fantastik 4our show. I've always considered his track selection to be top shelf. Here's a quality mix series that C-Minus originally made for his friend's ears only. Of course, we all get a listen now thanks to the wonders of that thing they call the internet. Friday Night Flavas (6/28/02)
Hopefully, J. Rocc will continue to post these archived shows so we can continue to hear them on Monday mornings. This particular taping really captures the essence of the show. You have Mr. Choc and Truly Odd just clowning around (and clowning some callers too) on the air, while J.Rocc handles duties on the tables. If you listen to J.Rocc's set later in the show you can kind of understand why you hear him mix a lot less hip hop in his sets these days. It almost seems like mixing hip hop just became too easy for him to the point where you can understand why a deejay of his caliber might get bored mixing 4/4 beats over and over again. Enjoy.
BTW, I've got a lot of videos that are way overdue for a post that I plan to post this week. Apologies in advance for the video blowout that should begin tomorrow morning.

KPFK Interviews C-Minus
Surprising that nobody mentioned C-Minus as a slept-on deejay. In this interview, C-Minus discusses his early musical influences, meeting and befriending Mr. Choc, initially passing on the Power 106 gig because it started on X-Mas day, and being one of the innovators of the rap-rock fusion.
We Are the New Standard Feat. C-Minus
I highly recommend watching this thoughtful mini documentary about Los Angeles based DJ/producer C-Minus (Lexicon/Power 106/Almighty RuffNexx/Fantastik 4our). I imagine if you are a frequent visitor to this blog and fellow dj/music lover, you'll completely understand C-Minus' musical and deejay philosophies. Just watch.
