Here's a mix I did a few years ago but really never got the official push until now. If people have been following me on my social media, people would know that I recently have a passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Now am I good at it? Hell no...but it definitely helped change my life; I lost a lot of weight & have been the healthiest I have ever been. Also the philosophy of Jiu Jitsu has even helped me with the discipline & learning aspect towards everything I do in life.
Anyways, a good friend of mine, Bear Quitugua, a Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu and owner of a well respected Jiu Jitsu Kimono Gi company called Shoyoroll, asked me to do a mixtape for him. Bear is a big Reggae music head so I did my best to cater to his taste. I made sure to put in classic Roots, Lover's Rock, & Riddims into the mix. So yeah, I made a Reggae mix, Beat Junkie Style! I hope you guys enjoy some of the classic massive chunes....Seen! Respect!!

Here it is for everybody that hit me up and asked me to put this up again... Made this Mix a couple years ago, but I've made some new friends since then and wanted to share.
This is a mix of Reggae/ ska/ rocksteady tracks from the 60's and 70's with a holiday edge. Family friendly alternative to the standard seasonal soundtrack.
I realized while making this that there is probably no genre of music with a wider disparity in quality than Christmas Reggae. THis is the good stuff.
Anything outside of this mix should be approached with extreme caution.

Here's volume 1 of Jermey Sole's 7 volume series of mixes featuring roots & dub tunes. If not because I'm only 20 minutes into the mix, I'd highly recommend this bad boy. Very, very good so far.
DJ Ta-Shi and DJ Shortkut - *Live on 4 turntables*
Found this recording from a show me and Tahaj put on back in 2001 or 2002.....The highlight of the night was having *DJ Ta-shi* (Zulu Nation/Beat Knuckles) and *DJ Shortkut* (ISP/Beat Junkies/Triple Threat) comin through and rockin' it live on 4 turntables....I ran out of recording discs at the end which explains the abrupt cut off.....
As you can tell from the energy they're puttin down, they were f*cking rocking the place!!!.....people were going bonkers!!! It was amazing to see their DJ communication and veteran skills in person....still inspires me to this day.....Enjoy...

Fire Volume 8 - Mixed by DJ Delgado
On the DJ scene today, everybody with a computer can call themselves a DJ, but when I began it was really about loving the music and being knowledgeable about it. I think part of our role is not only to bring people new music and stretch their minds, but to be archivists and historians of what today's music is based on. I think this is especially true of reggae and Jamaican music which is still foreign to many Americans, despite the incredible influence on American music. Keeping those great old songs and talents alive despite our disposable consumerist society is hugely important to me, and may be my biggest strength as a DJ. History has value, and these were the tunes and riddims that got me into dancehall years and years ago. They withstand the test of time, even though you may not hear them as ringtones at the mall in 2011!
Here is a piece of the history of dancehall music that I have preserved (and enjoyed). As always, it's arranged by riddim so that you can navigate it pretty easily and learn quite a bit in doing so, if you're so inclined. Of course, it might also just take on a trip down memory lane, as "old time something come back again!"

This mix is no f*cking joke! I probably should have waited to post this mix on a Friday, but I got so excited after hearing it on Tuesday night that I had to share it right away. The mix covers many of the dance hall/reggae/hip hop influenced cuts from the 90's. Straight butta for your Wednesday morning toast. Not everyone's cup of tea, but when I try to make a mix, I try real hard to stay with the theme I'm goin with......Back in the early 90's, I used to record Jason D's "Wise Up" show 88.1 KZSC and started to notice he put these occasional dancehall-hip hop version songs here and there on his 3 hour show......Back then, an artist named *Supercat* (90's version of Sean Paul) was f*ckin kill-ing IT!!!!! he couldn't be touched, his flow was incredible, and this mix is essentially a tribute to his influence on hip-hop culture.....Sean Paul did the same thing at the beginning of this century, but I haven't kept up with him for a bit, what's he up to??
