Mr. Supreme Talks Crate Diggin'

Very entertaining interview with Mr. Supreme sharing some hilarious crate diggin' stories, a glimpse at Supreme's storage units filled with records, home studio, and all sorts of ish that all you vinyl heads will find inspiring. My personal favorite it Supreme putting on a hunting outfit for when he goes "hunting" for records.  Part 2 after the jump.

Jealous Toys Die - Mixed by The Conmen (Jake One and Mr. Supreme)

Original post below.

This isn't just any old break mix. This may be the mother of all break mixes. You may not have heard of the Conmen, per say. But you have heard of producer extraordinaire Jake One, and your favorite deejay's favorite deejay, Mr. Supreme. Together, these two "conmen" have produced nothing short of a perfect mix. The best news of all is that this mix is just one mix of a five part series. The other four mixes will be posted in the very near future. Until then, remember that I'm always thinking of you on a Monday morning. Have a great week.

The Masters - Mixed by The Conmen (Jake One and Mr. Supreme)

I guess I originally posted this back during the fall of 08. Read the original post below to see the wonderfully optimistic outlook I had on the future.

Was it me, or did this week go by slower than a hot summer night with no a/c. Maybe it was the nonstop news of the world's financial collapse, or maybe it was the realization that Thomas Hobbes was right after all, "life is nasty brutish and short." Whatever it was, there has never been a greater need to just lose yourself in the things you love most. If you are a frequenter of this blog, I'm guessing that one of those things that you love is music. So sit back, relax, and listen to Jake One and Mr. Supreme mix all your favorite soul and funk breaks. While you are listening to the mix, try to forget the fact that our futures are as uncertain as the release date for Detox. Sorry for the negativity overkill, but it's been that kind of week.

Smooth Criminal - Mixed by The Conmen (Jake One and Mr. Supreme)

I've got a severe case of Olympics hangover. Staying up until 2:30 am watching the Olympics is starting to catch up to me, so no write-up today. Enjoy the mix...

Veteranos - Mixed by The Conmen (Jake One and Mr. Supreme)

A couple of weeks ago I posted the Conmen's Jealous Toys Die mix and promised to post the rest of the five part series. Well, here is #2 of 5. Expect more of the same, an excellent mix consisting of breaks used for many of your favorite hip hop jams. Before you roll your eyes at yet another break mix, let me assure you that Jake One and Mr. Supreme do a superb job of choosing breaks that aren't usually included in your standard break mix while not getting so obscure that you don't recognize the break. Enough of my chiter chater, just listen and enjoy.
